Here's the first trailer for season two of Jessica Jones

'Jessica Jones' Star Krysten Ritter Says Season 2 Is 'Emotional Thriller'

But it appears that Kilgrave may have left a few things behind for Jessica, including a piece of artwork that appears to be similar to one of the Alias/Jessica Jones covers published by Marvel.

"Having David back on set was awesome", star Krysten Ritter told Entertainment Weekly of Tennant's return.

Netflix has just dropped a new trailer for the upcoming second season of Marvel show Jessica Jones.

"In season 1, we focused on Jessica's trauma, on Jessica facing her abuser, but in season 2, we wanted to go even deeper than that", added Rosenberg. There's not many clues in this first trailer as to the drive of the new season, except some murky hints that she might be investigating her origin and perhaps discovering how she gained her powers in the first place.

Here is the official synopsis of the show, "New York City private investigator Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter) is beginning to put her life back together after murdering her tormenter, Kilgrave".

Ritter also told EW: "This season is more emotional". It was TV's answer to The Avengers, and it had the legendary, iconic, Academy Award-nominated Sigourney Weaver as the main antagonist, so if you've not seen it, you need to check it out. It's still a psychological thriller, but it's more of an emotional thriller this time.

Netflix (unsurprisingly) had quite a hit with Jessica Jones, Marvel's most reluctant superhero who drowns her guilt and PTSD in endless shots of whiskey and casual sex.

ROSENBERG: None whatsoever. Our partners are Marvel, and if we're doing something that's counter to [their continuity], they would pull us back or orient us on the right path, so clearly we're [ok].

Starting in childhood, Jessica has faced some very hard traumas throughout her life, so there's a lot left to unpack when Jessica Jones returns to Netflix in 2018. What we've done again is kept the story very personal.
