Actresses Wearing Black at Golden Globes To Protest Sexual Harassment

EXCLUSIVE: Meryl Streep Speaks Out Against Harvey Weinstein

This includes presenters and nominees like Jessica Chastain, Meryl Streep and Emma Stone. Maybe you should all wear Marchesa.

The actress slammed the biggest actresses in Hollywood industry including Meryl Streep and other actresses (unnamed) who are going to wear black at the upcoming 75th annual Golden Globe Awards in a "silent protest" - McGowan claimed that actresses working with her rapist Weinstein are the part of the problem.

Tamblyn said that while she supports McGowan and her cause, she thought it was "beneath" her to attack Streep and said that these actresses should be considered allies in the fight against harassment.

The 44-year-old spoke out against the "silent protest", and heavily criticised Streep in particular.

"Rose McGowan is a friend and while I support her kind of movement, I do not support any woman (or man) shaming or taunting the movements of other women who are trying to create change", Tamblyn tweeted Sunday. Marchesa, a womenswear company, was founded by Georgina Chapman, Harvey Weinstein's ex-wife. "You gotta tune in, don't ya?" the 68-year-old told Extra.

The news of the all-black attire Golden Globe silent protest comes shortly after it was announced that the SAG Awards enlisted all female presenters for their ceremony on January 21, 2018.

When the first allegations against the ex-honcho broke in October, Streep issued a statement proclaiming she'd had no idea what Weinstein had been up to behind closed doors. "The intrepid women who raised their voices to expose this abuse are our heroes".

"The behavior is inexcusable, but the abuse of power familiar", she said, adding that "each courageous voice that is raised, heard and credited" in the media "will ultimately change the game".

Weinstein, 64, has been accused by several women, including actress Ashley Judd, of unwanted physical contact and sexual harassment over the past few decades. "Each courageous voice that is raised, heard and credited by our watchdog media will ultimately change the game".

He has denied all allegations of non-consensual sex.
