Koetter will coach Bucs' in 2018

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have chose to retain coach Dirk Koetter, according to multiple reports on Friday. The Glazer family, which owns the NFC South franchise, confirmed on Friday that Koetter will not be relieved of his duties and will be retained for the 2018-19 season. Winston and Koetter have been together since Winston's first year in the NFL.

However, it's been tough sledding in year No. 2 for Koetter.

It'll also be fascinating to see what types of changes Koetter has in store for an offense that's been predictable at times and has struggled to sustain drives and score points consistently. As the head coach, it has been kind of different but Dirk is the man. In 2015 they were 23rd and this season, they rank 31st overall. He spent five seasons in Jacksonville before being named the offensive coordinator in Atlanta from 2012-2014.

Following the Bucs' loss to the Carolina Panthers on Sunday, Tampa might want to give that pair back. This is somewhat surprising given the big expectations for a Bucs team that's gone just 4-11 through 15 weeks of play. Here is to hoping that year three is the year for Koetter, Winston, and the Bucs. Like and follow on and Facebook.
