Janelle Monáe Unleashes "Django Jane" & "Make Me Feel"

Janelle Monáe Shares Two New Songs from 'Dirty Computer'

From her upcoming third studio album, Dirty Computer, which she dubs an "Emotion Picture", the singer and actress issues music videos for new songs "Make Me Feel" and "Django Jane".

"Django Jane" is a hip-hop hit that features Monet spitting bars about #BlackGirlMagic.

Of the two tracks, "Make Me Feel" has generated more buzz, possibly because the video feels like a musical celebration of bisexuality and winks at ongoing speculation over the nature of Monáe's relationship with her co-star, Tessa Thompson.

"Django Jane", on the other hand, is completely different. The video was directed by Andrew Donoho and Chuck Lightning, with additional vagina monologue footage directed by Lacey Duke.

Immensely talented singer/actress Janelle Monáe is about to make you catch some feels! According to a press release, "the song is a powerful black girl magic womanifesto that celebrates the strength of black women and black culture while addressing the trials and tribulations of identity in the 21st Century". Fans will also note a release date (April 27) and album artwork tossed into the mix. A trailer for the flick appeared in select theaters ahead of Black Panther screenings last weekend. This will be her first album since 2013's The Electric Lady.
