Renshaw called up for fourth Test against South Africa

Renshaw has been added to the squad for the final Test

The batsman will join the under-siege tourists ahead of Friday's final Test in the wake of the Cape Town ball-tampering crisis.

Now playing in the Sheffield Shield final in Brisbane, Renshaw is due to fly out Tuesday (March 27) night to join the squad in Johannesburg ahead of the game that starts Friday (March 30).

Renshaw, who hit the triumphant keeps running in an unbeaten 81 as he helped Queensland crush Tasmania by nine wickets in the Sheffield Shield last in Brisbane. Disgraced Australia cricket captain Smith was banned for one game as he and vice-captain David Warner stepped down from their roles on Sunday, March 25, 2018 amid a cheating scandal that has outraged their country and threatens a far more damaging fallout for one of the game's most exalted teams.

While Bancroft only averaged 25.57 with the bat during the Ashes, he has fared a little better in the ongoing Test series against the Proteas as he is Australia's highest run-scorer with 223 runs, which includes two half-centuries, at an average of 37.16.

It remains unclear whether Bancroft will feature in the fourth Test, but he was fined 75 percent of his match fee by the International Cricket Council (ICC) and handed three demerit points.

A decision on Darren Lehmann's future as Australia coach may also be announced by CA.

Renshaw, who played 10 Tests after his debut in November 2016, was dumped for Bancroft at the start of the Australian summer after experiencing patchy form in the spring tour of Bangladesh. Matthew Renshaw's inclusion comes after Cameron Bancroft's ball-tampering attempt was caught on camera.
