The Basketball Hall of Fame announces the class of 2018

Report: Grant Hill, Jason Kidd, Steve Nash in 2018 Hall of Fame class

Grant Hill, Jason Kidd and Steve Nash have been notified that each will be inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame's Class of 2018, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

Nash will be joined by Jason Kidd and Grant Hill as members of the 2018 class.

Kidd, a 10-time All-Star who won a title with the Mavericks in 2011, also ranks second behind Stocking with 2,684 career steals and third with 107 triple-doubles, behind Oscar Robertson and Magic Johnson.

An official announcement of the inductees will come at the Final Four in San Antonio this weekend.

Nash saw a very successful 18-year career with the Suns, Mavericks and Lakers becoming a two-time MVP and eight-time All Star.

In 10 seasons with the Suns, Nash averaged 14.4 points, 9.4 assists and shot 50.4 percent from the field, 43.5 percent from three and 90.7 percent from the free throw line.

Kidd and Stockton rank second and third in career assists behind only fellow Hall of Famer John Stockton.

Hill also played for Orlando, Phoenix and the Los Angeles Clippers, finishing his career in 2012-13 at age 40.

Kidd, who was the head coach of the Bucks until January, was a 10-time All-Star in his 18 National Basketball Association seasons, known as much for his stout defense as his slick passing.

Kidd was named NBA Rookie of the year during the 1994-95 season to start off a 19-year career in which he spent time with the Mavericks, Suns, Nets, and Knicks. Cheeks was the starting point guard for the 1983 champion Philadelphia 76ers and was both a four-time All-Star and a first-team All-NBA defensive selection four times.
