Overwatch's Uprising Returns in April

Overwatch

Whether this is a new game mode, new cosmetics, or lore, there is usually something about the repeated event that differs from its' predecessor. It primarily showcases the returning Brawl mode and skins from past year; the bulk of the brief video is essentially promising that players will have another shot at all of that.

Fed up with being told not to intervene, Overwatch's commander disobeyed orders by dispatching agents Tracer, Mercy, Reinhardt, and Torbjörn into the heart of the uprising. It looks like it'll be Blackwatch's turn to take center stage, in an event that takes place before last year's Uprising. That's purely speculation at this point, but it seems clear that Blizzard means to indicate that there will be something new for Uprising in 2018. During this time, Blizzard says it'll be tracking how the top 150 players from each country will be playing with the top 20 being asked to compete in the tournament. The Uprising series has gotten a bit of a rebrand, now being called the "Overwatch Archives" likely as a way to distinguish the event from the Boston Uprising Overwatch League team. The event also brought special Blackwatch skins for Genji and McCree, so expect Moria to possibly get one as well to match her comrades. However, it appears that Blizzard has something extra in store.

The event will run from April 10 through 30, and pit you and three friends up against omnics running rampant through London. A teaser posted on Twitter (below) mentions King's Row and a declassification date on April 10.

Did you see anything interesting in the tweet? It looks like it is glitching out, but what is really happening is that some of the text are being replaced.

Overwatch is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
