Conor McGregor led out of police station in handcuffs before court appearance

At one point, video from inside the bus shows a hand truck smashing through the bus windows, cutting UFC fighter Mike Chiesa's face.

Prosecutors said in court that McGregor punched a security guard at Barclays Center during the melee. He was also treated at Brooklyn Methodist Hospital.

The 29-year-old is facing charges of assault and criminal mischief.

"They are just throwing things into the windows, not caring who they hit".

We've agreed to a bail package so they can travel internationally so they can pursue their sport and their craft.

CNN could not immediately reach representatives for McGregor or Cowley for comment.

Members of McGregor's team were barred from entering the building during the event. Just days after spending Thursday in jail following an incident at the UFC 223 media day, the Irish striker was stripped of his UFC lightweight title.

#Conor Mcgregor hasn't fought in the UFC since his last title match in November 2016 against Edie Alvarez where he knocked him out in the second round. Later on Friday, UFC tabbed Al Iaquinta to step into the main event.

However, anyone expecting to grab any of the limelight from McGregor is mistaken.

Customers can receive a refund where they bought their tickets, if they choose, UFC said. "He looks forward to getting back to fighting as soon as possible".

"Conor and I talked through text yesterday, obviously the worst conversation we have ever had, " White said during a Friday morning appearance on Fox Sports 1's "First Things First", adding that the conversation took place before McGregor turned himself in.

White suggested last month McGregor's reign as lightweight champion was set to end following UFC 223 due to inactivity. His attack on the bus allegedly targeted UFC fighter Khabib Nurmagomedov. Michael Chiesa, the fighter shown in the video above, lost valuable time to cut weight as a result of the injuries he sustained in the fracas.

UFC's president, Dana White, echoed that reporting on Fox Sports 1's "First Things First," saying McGregor flew several people to NY from Ireland when he heard of the incident at the hotel.

Flyweight Ray Borg suffered multiple cornea abrasions in the wake of the McGregor attack, and his fight against Brandon Moreno was also scratched.

The organization deems today's disruption completely unacceptable and is now working on the consequences that will follow.

Artem Lobov, a McGregor friend and ally who was part of the incident, also was pulled from the card. The UFC did not elaborate on what that involvement entailed.

Not only that, but he's not going to be at UFC 223 tonight.

McGregor and others were seen attacking the buses, that held other fighters, with objects such as dollies and guardrails.

McGregor last fought in a boxing match he lost to Floyd Mayweather Jr. on August 26, 2017.
