Tyson Fury To Come back To The Ring In June

Tyson Fury

The former world heavyweight champion has signed with promoter Frank Warren, who announced the Manchester Arena fight on Thursday.

The opponent that Fury will face in his comeback fight has yet to be announced, with Warren confirming it would announced in "due course", while confirming Fury's contract is a "multi-fight deal". "The "Mac" is back".

The 29-year-old had not fought competitively since beating Wladimir Klitschko in November 2015.

Who do you think Tyson Fury will fight next?

He said: "I'm ready".

Fury ballooned as high as 378 pounds during his two-year layoff and is hoping to get down as low as 259 pounds for his return.

Warren also said: "Until anyone beats Fury they can not rightfully call themselves the world heavyweight champion because he didn't lose his titles in the ring".

A long-awaited sporting comeback has been afforded a prospective conclusion this afternoon; Tyson Fury will fight an as yet undetermined opponent on June 9.

It's been a tough journey ever since having been accused of doping and battling with depression, but following months of training he's fit and ready to make his comeback. "Timing, reflexes, everything is better than it's ever been".

Since returning to the gym earlier this year, the orthodox fighter says he has been "working very, very hard, seven days a week" with new trainer Ben Davison in a bid to build up fitness after Fury piled on weight during his three year absence.

Bookmakers are taking Fury serious and he is just 2/1 to have a world title by the end of next year and just 4/1 that he has beaten the current two World Heavyweight champions - Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder. Some people would prefer there be one belt and one heavyweight champion. Not only is Fury bigger than Joshua and Wilder, he has better hand speed, technique and a natural shiftiness that left Klitschko confused and gun shy. But they're all vulnerable.
