Drake warned by NBA over bad language at basketball game

Rap artist Drake celebrates as head coach Dwane Casey of the Toronto Raptors looks on in the closing moments of their victory against the Washington Wizards in the first quarter during Game One of the first round of the 2018 NBA Playoffs at Air Canada Cen

He allegedly used foul language during a heated exchange with Cleveland Cavaliers' Kendrick Perkins last night during Game 1 of the playoff series between the Raptors and Cavs.

"Kiki Vandeweghe, the NBA's executive vice president of basketball operations, also spoke to Raptors president Masai Ujiri about Drake's use of language, a league source told Wojnarowski".

The Raptors also discussed the viral incident with the rap mogul, who is a global ambassador for the team. Perkins said he told Raptors player and his former teammate Serge Ibaka at halftime that the Cavaliers were going to beat them.

According to the NBA's Fan Code of Conduct, the league is 'committed to creating a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable sports & entertainment experience'.

A day earlier, Toronto coach Dwane Casey said he had no issue with Drake's antics, saying he wished all Raptors fans had the same passion as the three-time Grammy victor. The second happened after the Cavaliers narrowly defeated the Raptors 113-112.

If Drake does start taunting members of the Cavaliers during Game 2 on Thursday, he'll have to come up with some respectful insults. "I mean, really. If he leaves me alone, I'll leave him alone, and that's all there is".

Perkins, who was not suited up for the game, fired back at Drake with the pair being separated by security.

The Raptors hosted game two on Thursday and Cleveland won 128-110.
