Philadelphia 76ers have favorable odds heading into 2018 NBA Draft lottery reveal

Josh Jackson Invites Special Guest to Attend 2018 NBA Draft Lottery

Due to a trade with the Boston Celtics a year ago to move up two spots in the draft in order to land Markelle Fultz at No. 1, Philadelphia could miss out on the Los Angeles pick if it happens to fall between 2-5.

Sacramento and Phoenix were among eight teams which blatantly positioned themselves to get a high pick in this year's lottery. Los Angeles acquired Detroit's pick in the Blake Griffin trade, with that pick being top-three protected.

And since we've got the NBA Draft on our minds, why not make it the topic of discussion for this week's Trivia Tuesday? We've given you their draft year and the college for which they played. There are 1,000 combinations that are used and the combination of 11-12-13-14 is not used, so if it is drawn for one of the picks, they draw again to determine which team gets that pick. The team will have an 8.4 percent chance of receiving the seventh pick and a 0.4 percent chance of receiving the eighth pick. For everybody else, there is real hope that this could be a franchise-changing evening. This pick has been in the cards for a while now since Sam Hinkie traded Michael Carter-Williams to Milwaukee during the 2014-15 season.

Williams said he and Lil' Penny will sit in the room with the National Basketball Association lottery machine, hopefully bringing the team luck winning a top draft pick.

The Los Angeles Clippers have two picks in this year's lottery. That is how they drafted Irving in the first place. If it's No. 2 or No. 3, it goes to Boston, while Philadelphia keeps it at No. 1. The selection is most likely going to land at No. 10 and in addition to that, the Sixers own their pick at No. 26. Crazier stuff has happened, though, and adding another blue-chip prospect to either one of these teams seems nearly unfair.
