Milwaukee Bucks center Thon Maker was one of 13 players ejected after a insane brawl broke out during a FIBA qualifier between Australia and the Philippines, Monday.

Former Nets center Andray Blatche (playing for the Philippines) threw punches alongside his teammates, while Bucks center Thon Maker, an Australian, joined the fray by attempting to land some flying kicks on his opponents.

It resulted to the ejection of a total 13 players in a scuffle between the Philippines and Australia.

Australia's Nathan Sobey, Goulding, Maker and Kickert were also ejected.

"We told them wag nang pansinin, focus on the game", Reyes said. The nine Filipino players tossed were Blatche, Castro, Pogoy, Japeth Aguilar, Jeth Rosario, Terrence Bill Romeo, Matthew Wright, Calvin Abueva and Carl Bryan Cruz.

Both teams are in position to advance to the next round.

"Basketball Australia unreservedly apologizes for the removal of decals from the court at Philippine Arena prior to the Australian Boomers vs Philippines FIBA World Cup qualifer tonight", the statement read.

"This is not the spirit in which sport should be played and certainly not in the spirit in which we aim to play basketball", said Moore. After a physical sequence, RR Pogoy shoved Australia's Chris Goulding to the floor.

The game was interrupted for more than 30 minutes as the referees assessed the situation, but eventually continued in ridiculous fashion, with the Philippines only able to field three players against Australia's five.

The International Basketball Federation (Fiba) has opened disciplinary proceedings against both sides.

As there was no immediate threat to the players the game resumed but in a tame form as Fajardo and Norwood fouled softly until they fouled out, thus forcing the game to end.
