Trump to Meet with Queen Elizabeth II and Britain's PM Amid Protests

Inflatable Donald Trump

The First Lady, who is on an official visit with husband Donald Trump, donned a glamorous yellow chiffon cape dress to attend a gala dinner at Blenheim Palace.

Anti-Trump protesters lined the roadway leading to the palace near Oxford - but it's unlikely the Trumps even saw them.

The US President added that he had told European leaders that immigration is a problem.

While the many thousands are expected to line the streets and protest against Trump, politicians have become involved too.

Before the Sun interview was published, Ms May invoked Winston Churchill as she addressed Mr Trump and business leaders at a black-tie dinner at Blenheim Palace, the grand 18th-century country house which was the British World War II leader's birthplace.

Mr Sprinks, who goes by the stage name Sprinkles, added: "Our vocalist, Freak, had a bit of a thing about Trump".

"It's a disastrous and divisive time, and Trump is very much part of that", he said.

"I'm certainly going to Turnberry and I'll see him there". She said they will discuss security and defense, an aspect of the relationship that is causing anxiety for some British politicians.

Fresh from a North Atlantic Treaty Organisation summit where Trump chided Germany and other European nations for failing to contribute enough to defence spending, British Prime Minister Theresa May is hoping his trip will boost the close ties between their two nations and help forge a future free trade deal.

"I think that's why Brexit happened", he said, noting that Britain was "a pretty hot spot right now with a lot of resignations". "We have come to an agreement which absolutely delivers what people voted for", she said in a statement.

The president - who has said he would like to see Johnson during his United Kingdom trip - added that Johnson "obviously likes me, and says very good things about me".

He is due to stay overnight at the ambassador's Winfield House residence in London's Regent's Park, where demonstrators plan to play recordings of migrant children held in USA detention centers.

Trump had earlier shrugged off the organised demonstrations, which on Friday will include a giant baby-shaped balloon bearing Trump's features and have required police to be mobilised from across the country.

More recently, in February, Trump once again tried but failed to make hand-to-hand contact with his wife as they departed the White House for a trip to Ohio. Although he will visit the USA ambassador's residence, he is largely avoiding central London, where the largest protests are expected Friday.

Whilst Mr Trump's trip is not the full state visit he was originally promised, he was heralded by military bands on his arrival in the country and at Blenheim, and later today he will have tea with Queen Elizabeth.

Trump added that May's "soft" blueprint for the U.K.'s future dealings with the European Union would probably "kill" any future trade deals with the United States.

Then on Monday, he will be off to Helsinki to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The Trumps arrived at the grounds on the president's Marine One helicopter and therefore avoided the estimated 1,000 protesters gathered outside.

On Friday he will visit PM Theresa May at Chequers, set to be followed by a meeting with Her Majesty The Queen at Windsor Castle.
