Pogba becoming increasingly frustrated at Manchester United

Man Utd transfer news Paul Pogba

Manchester United have decided that midfielder, Paul Pogba will not be allowed to join Barcelona this summer.

He had his problems with Mourinho past year, being dropped to the bench for a number of games, but he remains integral in the spine of United and, after a great World Cup campaign - individually and with his team - Pogba's stock and his influence have only risen.

It seems inconceivable that United would let go of their record signing, and Pogba's camp accept it will be hard to complete a deal before the transfer window closes.

Pogba still has three years remaining on his United contract.

"By building the team around him, Jose would be challenging Pogba to prove he is an elite player by delivering captain's performances every week".

The Daily Mail have revealed that the French World Cup winner's controversial agent Mino Raiola is trying to engineer a deal for his client to join Barcelona.

It's not a great time to be a Manchester United fan as manager Jose Mourinho has been causing some kind of irritation and uneasiness at the club. Mourinho appeared to question Pogba's effort and heart while playing for his club, saying, "I don't think it's about us getting the best out of him [at Manchester United], it's about him giving the best he has to give". I think the World Cup is the ideal habitat for a player like him to give the best. Because it's closed for a month, where he can only think about football. However, the deadline in England is 5pm on Thursday, leaving United little or no time to sign a replacement unless they meant to replace him with new £52m signing Fred.

In theory, Barcelona would have until the end of the month to sign Pogba before the transfer window closes in Spain.

Barca coach Ernesto Valverde refused to deny his club were interested in signing Pogba over the weekend, as he offered this answer to when quizzed about the midfielder.

Pogba, who did not accompany United on the USA tour, will meet Mourinho this week after returning to United's Carrington training centre Monday after a three-week break following France's World Cup triumph.

However, Mourinho disputed suggestions that it's down to him to get the best out of Pogba.
