It also explains the game has "fun things to do, and opportunities for mischief" which makes it sound like they're making a game for pre-teens, but that's clearly not the case. Red Dead Redemption 2's release date has been confirmed as October 26, and it is coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Cowboys, weapons, in-game mechanics, location; you know what, just watch the trailer for yourself. We've seen multiple cinematic trailers, but today Rockstar gave us our very first look at how the game will play.

At long last, after two years since its initial announcement, Red Dead Redemption 2 has received its first public gameplay footage courtesy of Rockstar. In the sequel, gamers will take control of Arthur Morgan, a vital member of the Van der Linde gang. You'll continue to build out the base as the game goes on from there and improve it beyond its initial iteration.

Your interactions with the world aren't limited to dealing with the people in it. Hunting plays a large role in Red Dead Redemption 2, as it can help support your camp and earn you money. 14 years later, the company is set to roll out Red Dead Redemption 2, the third installment in the franchise. The developer states at the end of the video that it'll be showing off more gameplay soon.

Stay tuned for our breakdown of everything you might've missed in the trailer, along with snippets of gameplay analysis.
