Saudi crown prince calls Khashoggi killing 'heinous'

Business opportunity in Saudi Arabia in doubt

Visa records are confidential and Pompeo was not more specific about who the revocations would affect, but the State Department later said 21 "Saudi suspects" would have visas revoked or would be declared ineligible to enter the U.S.

There have been persistent calls for Trump to terminate multimillion arms deals with Saudi Arabia, including from within his own party. And they should be in big trouble.

Mohammed bin Salman separately said that the killing of the Washington Post columnist will not "drive a wedge" between the kingdom and Turkey.

"Saudi Arabia has taken an important step by admitting the murder".

"Well, the prince is running things over there more so at this stage. He's running things and so if anybody were going to be, it would be him".

The Saudi government has blamed the murder on rogue agents.

Saudi Arabia's King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman met Tuesday with relatives of dead journalist Jamal Khashoggi, as new details of his death emerged.

What will the United States do next?

He was pretty rough on Saudi Arabia, I would say.

Mr Al Falih said the murder of Khashoggi was regrettable, adding that "nobody in the kingdom can justify it".

The public show of sympathy came after Turkish President Recep Erdogan said the savage "political murder" was plotted days in advance.

Erdogan said a team of 15 Saudis flew to Istanbul early in the morning on October 2, including a forensic expert and intelligence officers.

His comments on Wednesday were made at the Future Investment Initiative in the Saudi capital Riyadh. "But they will not succeed as long as there is a King named Salman and a Crown Prince named Mohammed bin Salman".

"I see things that are deceptive every day", he said Monday at a CNN event in NY after he was asked if the Saudi government had been deceptive about Khashoggi's death in its Istanbul consulate.

Where do the Saudis stand?

The Associated Press reported this story.

Saudi Arabia's account of Khashoggi's fate has not been consistent.

Global attention increased after Saudi Arabia said on Saturday that Khashoggi died in a fight.

On the same day another team of Saudi officials from the consulate carry out a reconnaissance of Belgrade Forest in Istanbul and the northwestern province of Yalova. He also demanded to be told the name of a "local co-operator" who disposed of the body.

The prince joked about Lebanese Prime Minister Saad al-Hariri's detention in the kingdom a year ago, saying he was free to leave after attending the worldwide investment conference in Riyadh.

According to Reuters news agency, quoting Turkish and Arabic intelligence sources, one of the sacked aides appeared via Skype during Khashoggi's questioning. "I see them in the Middle East, I see them in Washington". But certainly, president Erdogan was not complimentary of what happened.
