Broncos Trade Demaryius Thomas To Texans

Demaryius Thomas bracing for trade out of Denver

The Broncos reportedly traded the four-time Pro Bowler to the Texans for a fourth-round pick in the 2019 draft, and the teams also swapped seventh-rounders. The Broncos will send a seventh-round pick to the Texans, along with Thomas, and get back a fourth- and seventh-rounder, ESPN.com detailed.

Sanders has been enjoying his second-best season as a Broncos player this year; with 606 yards and three touchdowns through eight games. The Texans will be in Denver Sunday afternoon to take on the Broncos. The team also could restructure Thomas' deal in the offseason. He joined Torry Holt (six), Marvin Harrison (five) and Antonio Brown (five) as the only players in National Football League history with five consecutive seasons totaling at least 90 receptions and 1,000 receiving yards (2012-16).

Miller wasn't the only one in Denver who publicly lamented Thomas' trade to Houston. "We thought this would give Courtland a chance to get out there and play more and be a bigger part of it because we think he's ready to go". One ancillary benefit of this trade is that the Texans just so happen to be playing the Broncos this weekend, which helps in two ways.

Thomas is owed $14 million in base salary next season. But by moving Thomas, at the very least you'll free up roster space for younger players, he said. Hamilton is now recovering from a sprained MCL he suffered in the Broncos' Week 7 win over the Arizona Cardinals, while Patrick has played 60 snaps all season, 19 of those this past Sunday in Kansas City. "Sutton and Thomas are both 6'3", further proving that Sutton may be Thomas 2.0.
