Spice Girls announce 2019 reunion tour

The line-up will not include Victoria Beckham

Emma "Baby Spice" Bunton, Geri "Ginger Spice" Halliwell Horner, Melanie "Mel C" Chisholm and Melanie "Mel B" Brown announced their United Kingdom reunion tour Monday on the official Spice Girls Twitter account.

The Spice Girls have announced their first tour in more than a decade.

Victoria Beckham, however, will not be taking part. Beckham, who adamantly denied a Spice Girls reunion in the past, will not be joining her '90s girl gang.

The foursome will also perform in Coventry, Sunderland, Edinburgh and Bristol, finishing at London's Wembley Stadium.

As the news broke that the band was reuniting, fans couldn't help but feel sad that all members weren't making a return and mainly, fans wondered why VB wasn't joining forces with the girls once more? "Tickets on sale Saturday 10.30am".

Since that time, they have been frequently reassuring fans that a reunion is happening.

In a joint statement, the Spice Girls said: "We are beyond excited to be reuniting next year for a stadium tour". "There is a reunion tour happening, now it's going to be - I'm not supposed to say when - but it is happening", she said on the United Kingdom show Loose Women. "I hope so. It would be a shame if she didn't".

"I think she found it a bit amusing, but at the same time [there's a] bit of a love-hate relationship", she said.

And the four will send social media into a meltdown with a mock news bulletin in which they poke fun at their personalities.

The last time all five of them performed together was at the 2012 London Olympics.

There's been excitement before that the Spice Girls would be reuniting. In 2007, all five returned for a world tour.

After months of rumours following the group's meeting in February this year, Geri, Emma, Mel C and Mel B have confirmed they will play six stadium shows next year.
