Midterm election 2018: Donald Trump SHUTS DOWN CNN reporter in fiery confrontation

[VIDEO] Donald Trump, CNN's Jim Acosta Argue at Press Conference

President Donald Trump sparred with reporters at his post-election news conference, ordering several to sit down and telling another he's a "rude, terrible" person.

"We need the money to build the wall, the whole wall, not pieces of it", Trump told reporters at a news conference at the White House following Tuesday's midterm election.

Mr. Trump then became angry with CNN reporter Jim Acosta when he wanted to continue questioning the president about the caravans making their way north through Mexico, and Mr. Trump wanted to end the questioning.

President Donald Trump on Wednesday accused the PBS correspondent Yamiche Alcindor, who is black, of asking a "racist question" about whether his rhetoric emboldened white nationalists.

"Put down the mic".

Trump said that his use of the word is about his "America First" policies such as tougher trade measures, strengthening the border, and matters of national security.

In a statement, White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders blamed the suspension of privileges on Acosta placing his hands on a young woman.

"It was a big day yesterday, incredible day", Trump said Wednesday.

Aggressive Trump went on to say: "When you report fake news, which CNN does a lot, you are the enemy of the people".

"I don't know", he said.

He said he's damned by the press for having either too few, too many or just the right amount of press availabilities. "I'm fighting back not for me, I'm fighting back for the people of this country", he said.

JIM ACOSTA: Thank you, Mr. President.

"I'm not a fan of yours either". And the way that you treat other people is disgusting.

The poll also noted that Trump had 29 percent support among black people on August 6, compared with 15 percent on August 3, 2017.

"You are a rude, awful person", the president said.

"That's such a racist question", he repeated, pointing his finger at her. "Let me tell you: That's a racist question", he said, as he repeatedly interrupted and cut her off.

In defending his record with African-Americans, trump boasted that polls show him with "my highest numbers" of suppor tin that community.
